  • H.appi | Summer Camp for Syrian Refugee Children

In July 2016, Team 4914 ran a one-week science workshop for H.appi, a summer camp for Syrian refugee children, at Victoria Park C.I. It was a great way to introduce scientific concepts to children ages 5-14, who had never had many educational opportunities in their home country. Different experiments were conducted in relation to static electricity, buoyancy, and flight. It was a week filled with new discoveries and smiles as participants learned the science behind everyday occurrences.
